Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our development and production systems. You will work closely with development teams to automate processes, enhance reliability, improve deployment speed, and strengthen security and monitoring practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure).
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Implement and manage containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
- Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Set up robust monitoring, alerting, and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch).
- Manage version control, branching, and release management strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Ensure security compliance, access control, and vulnerability management across environments.
- Troubleshoot deployment and production issues with cross-functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in system performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure management, or cloud engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Azure public cloud platform.
- Deep understanding of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with: ○ CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps ○ Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep ○ Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes ○ Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch ○ Scripting Languages: Bash, Python, or Go
- Experience managing production-grade deployments with zero downtime.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with agile teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, Azure Cloud Functions).
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in cloud infrastructure.
- Exposure to security automation and DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
